This is our most popular and most requested performance - the Parade. There are many ways you can use the parade component: moving groups from one area to another, filling gaps between band sets, or kicking off conventions. Types of parades we offer: • Convention Parades - Kick off meetings or sessions • Guidance Parades - Move conventioneers between locations • Energize Parades - Re-energize participants during long sessions • Food Delivery Parades - WOW guests with samba-led food service • Parade Performance - Stop and perform at different locations • Meet and Greet - Standing at entrances, engaging arriving guests Components: 10-30 minutes, 5-18 people, 1-3 Stilt Dancers. No backline or electrical needed!

A typical show of the great Carnival performances in Brasil - like visiting a showhouse in Rio! Components include: • Bateria - Percussion band performing intricate samba rhythms • Passistas - Samba dancers in traditional Rio/Bahia costumes • Pandeiro Show - Acrobatic tambourine juggling (a Brasilian carnival art form) • Mestre Sala & Porta Bandeira - Traditional dance couple • Bahianas - Ladies in large hoop skirts representing samba energy Can be performed with 6-25 people or more.

The total package of all our Brasilian performances in one spectacular show. This includes the complete Brasilian folkloric show and samba show combined into one presentation. Features dancers, drummers, a full band, and stilt walkers. Additional components can include jazz bands, brass bands, Mardi Gras Indians, and second-line steppers - showcasing the cultural connections between Brasil and New Orleans. Ways to incorporate: Complete standalone show, transition entertainment between bands, or parade through the venue with performance stops. 30-35 people typically needed.

Afro Cultures of Carnival

Experience the Cultures of Carnaval you don't see in regular Mardi Gras parades. This show combines Brasilian folkloric performance with New Orleans Carnival traditions. The extravaganza includes: Samba dancers, drummers, full band, stilt walkers, brass bands, Mardi Gras Indians, second line steppers, and baby dolls. Together these showcase the beautiful similarities between Brasilian and New Orleans carnival cultures. This performance is highly customizable with 30-35 people typically needed for the full show.

Presentation of the Orixas

A highly traditional, authentic, and colorful theatrical presentation of Afro-Brasilian cultural spirituality - Candomblé (commonly known as Macumba). Orixas are comparable to patron saints. This show presents: Ogum, Obaluae, Oxum, Yansa, Xango, Oxumare (dance of the Cobra), and Oxala - each in traditional dress with designated colors, movements, and gestures. The presentation begins with traditional drumming, followed by a procession where each Orixa is called by its distinct rhythm and performs its particular dance. The show concludes with blessings and good vibrations. This is an educational presentation only - not a ceremony. 20-25 people total, can be done with minimum of 6.

Afro-Brasilian Cultural Presentation

Showcasing the various Afro-Brasilian cultural dances, songs, and rhythms from Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. Features: Samba, Cafezão, dances from Ilê Aiyê, Batuque, Caboclu, Maculelê, and Capoeira. This performance preserves the history of African and indigenous cultures imported to Brasil. 6-25 people needed. 1 hour minimum.

Specialty performance for children and school assemblies K-12 by Mestre Curtis Pierre - "THE SAMBA MAN"! This lively, interactive program explores the relationship between Brasil and Africa through the colorful world of samba and Brasilian percussion. As a New Orleans native, Curtis Pierre expertly explains the connections between Brasilian Carnaval and Mardi Gras. Features demonstration of percussion instruments, audience participation, history lessons, and the spectacular Pandeiro (tambourine) acrobatics show - spinning 3-5 pandeiros with cartwheels, tumbles, and lightning-fast movements. Curtis Pierre is ranked nationally as one of the top 3 Pandeiro jugglers in America! Program concludes with 10-20 audience members learning samba rhythm and dance, culminating in a parade.

Professional & Children Stilt Dancers

Chakaba or MOCKO JUMBIE - These are not ordinary stilt walkers! Our stilt DANCERS are extremely energetic and acrobatic, sometimes over 15 feet tall. They dance, run, spin, and leap to the beat of live drumming or recorded music. Originally from West Africa, stilt walkers played important roles in festivals and celebrations, embodying the symbols and spirit of Africa. They held respected status allowing them to make political and religious decisions. Available solo or in groups as large as 30. Extremely effective for drawing attention without loud music, guiding audiences, holding signs, wearing your logo, and creating amazing excitement!

Progressive stilt dancing program for children at N.O.R.D Center, 800 Race St in the Garden District. Stage 1: Walking with assistance → Stage 2: Independent walking with tasks → Stage 3: Obstacle courses for balance and agility → Stage 4: First public performance with Escola de Samba Casa Samba! Schedule: Saturdays 9:30-10:00 AM - Stilt walking & samba drumming for ages 5-8. Ages 9+ from 10:00-10:30 AM. All stilts provided by Escola de Samba Casa Samba.

This team-building program lets your employees catch the rhythm through drumming - a fun, innovative tribal group experience that strikes a chord with everyone. No musical experience required! Process: 1. Team Leader gives introductory speech 2. Master drum instructor demonstrates instruments 3. Groups receive instruments and divide into sections 4. Percussion assistants guide each group 5. Groups learn their parts with deadline challenge 6. Culminating performance together! Options include competitions, awards, and featuring winners performing with Escola de Samba Casa Samba. Dance components and costumes available. Up to 250 instruments available for rent.
